For School Directors
Low pass rates aren’t a mystery. And you don’t have to solve them alone.
Every school I work with comes to me with a different story. Sometimes it’s a curriculum gap. Sometimes it’s a scheduling issue that keeps students from sitting for their exam on time. Sometimes it’s that educators were never given the tools to teach theory in a way that sticks. I don’t come in with assumptions. I start with your data, your team, and your specific situation. Then we build from there.
How it works
The Theory Curriculum Audit is the foundation of every school partnership I take on, and it is the service I recommend without exception.
You submit your complete theory curriculum, all tests and assessments, homework assignments, and lesson plans. I then observe your theory instruction, either virtually or in person, to see how the material is actually being delivered in the classroom.
What you receive is a comprehensive written report covering the strengths of your current program, the specific gaps between what is being taught and what the state board tests, and a prioritized roadmap telling you exactly what to address and why. Every finding is specific to your school, your educators, your programs, and your state.
Not every school is ready for a full audit, and that is okay. A Pass Rate Analysis is a lighter first step. You share your state board pass rate data with me, and I take a close look at the numbers, the patterns, and where the drops are happening. What you get back is a clear picture of where to focus your energy first, without the full commitment of a curriculum audit.
This is a direct integration into your school’s calendar. In the final two to three weeks of a student’s program, I run a focused virtual classroom that covers everything students need to know to pass their state board theory exam.
This is ideal for schools where students move quickly from graduation to their exam date.
Whether your current theory program needs a full overhaul or you are building one for the first time, Board Ready can build it. I create a full theory curriculum specific to your state, your programs, and your pass rate goals. This includes lesson plans, tests, assessments, homework, and instructional videos. Everything is built around what your students actually need to know to pass their state board exam.
Educators in this industry are exceptional at practical instruction. Where the industry falls short is in teaching educators how to teach. Most instructors learn by trial and error, and that is not a reflection of the individual. It is an industry-wide gap, and it is the biggest reason Board Ready exists.
This service is designed to meet your educators where they are. We cover theory content refreshes on specific chapters your team wants to go deeper on, classroom management, conflict resolution, different learning styles, and working with students who have learning differences like ADHD, dyslexia, or autism. This program fulfills the nine hours of CE required for instructor license renewal.
When a new educator joins your team, the first few months set the tone for everything that follows. This program gives new hires the foundation they were never formally taught. We cover how to teach information in multiple ways, building confidence in front of a classroom, classroom management, conflict resolution, and how to meet the needs of diverse learners.
Educator burnout and high turnover are real challenges in this industry. When educators feel equipped and supported from the start, they stay longer and teach better. Your new educators leave this program with clarity, confidence, and real tools they can use from day one.
If your school has an accreditation visit coming up, Board Ready can help you get your theory documentation in order. I review your curriculum materials, assess alignment with accreditation standards, and help you identify and address any gaps before your review date so you can walk into an accreditation visit with your theory program fully documented and aligned.
Sometimes one educator needs focused, one-on-one support. Whether they are new to the classroom or have been teaching for years, this service gives them the tools, feedback, and structure to become more effective in front of students. This is not about fixing what is wrong. It is about building on what is already there.
For schools where the challenge is the time it takes students to get to their state board exam after graduation, this is a resource worth having in your back pocket. Learn more about what this looks like on the Student Support page.
